The European Parliament has voted in favour of the European Fund for Strategic Investments (EFSI) also known as the Juncker plan.
Commenting on the outcome of the vote today Liadh Ní Riada, Sinn Féin MEP for Ireland South who was the shadow rapporteur of this file said:

Sinn Féin MEP Liadh Ní Riada and Cllr Séamie Morris met with representatives of North Tipperary LEADER partnership in Nenagh on Friday 19th to discuss the cuts to LEADER funding, and to examine alternative funding streams.
The Sinn Féin representatives met with CEO of North Tipperary Leader Partnership Michael Murray and with board member Jim Finn.

Speaking during a visit to Áras Folláin peer support centre in Nenagh on Friday, Liadh Ní Riada commended the staff and volunteers of the facility and stated that promoting positive mental health is vital for the whole community. The Sinn Féin MEP paid a visit to the centre alongside Councillor Seamus Morris, where they were briefed on the work of the centre by coordinator Margo O’Donnell-Roche.
